Ashley Deiser, Internship Coordinator.
Halstead Communications is a small public relations and marketing firm. Founded in 1980, it was one of the first of its kind to serve higher education and remains the only firm in New York City to serve this market exclusively. Our clients include a variety of public and private colleges and universities, schools, and non-profit organizations.
Interns work closely with staff in this small firm. There will be many opportunities to learn the full range of skills required in the public relations profession and to gain valuable contacts in the industry.
Internships are offered during the fall, spring, and summer and typically last 10-15 weeks. Call for deadlines.
Flexible (typically about 15-40 hours/week).
Commuting costs and college credit, if available through your institution.
Recent college graduates or students in their junior or senior year of college with excellent writing and verbal skills, creativity and flexibility. Knowledge of MS Office required. Candidate should be self-motivated and willing to take the initiative to use this internship as a learning experience. Sense of humor a big plus.
